The Arkadia Foundation joins EASPD and participates in the international conference in Turin
We are delighted to announce that the Arkadia Foundation has joined the EASPD – European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities.
EASPD is a pan-European network bringing together more than 20,000 organisations from 46 countries that work every day to support people with disabilities, promoting equal opportunities, independence and high-quality social services.
Membership in EASPD is not only a distinction for us, but also an opportunity to:
- exchange experiences with organisations from across Europe,
- develop international projects,
- co-create solutions that genuinely improve the quality of life of the people we support every day.

Project title: Membership in the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities

Brief description of the project:
The aim of the project is to cover the costs of the Arkadia Foundation’s membership in the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD). Joining EASPD strengthens the organisation’s position at the European level, enables participation in international working groups and provides access to up-to-date knowledge, tools and standards concerning support for people with disabilities. It also facilitates the development of international cooperation. The project supports the institutional development of the Arkadia Foundation and the implementation of its statutory objectives.
Participation in a 3-day EASPD conference in Turin
In October, we also had the honour of participating in a three-day international EASPD conference in Turin, bringing together experts, practitioners and representatives of the social services sector from across Europe.
The event focused on key issues concerning the future of support for people with disabilities, including:
- the development of community-based and inclusive services,
- directions for deinstitutionalisation,
- innovative models of independent living,
- education and employment from a human rights perspective.

Project title: Participation in the “Empowering Families, Enabling Self-Determination” Conference

Brief description of the project:
As part of the project, representatives of the Arkadia Foundation participated in the international conference “Empowering Families, Enabling Self-Determination” in Turin, dedicated to supporting independent living for people with disabilities and the role of families in this process.
During the trip, the Arkadia Foundation officially joined the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), significantly strengthening our position and opportunities for international cooperation.
Participation in the conference provided an opportunity to gain up-to-date knowledge, establish valuable contacts and develop the organisation’s expertise in modern forms of social support.
The conference was a tremendous source of inspiration and a valuable opportunity to establish new connections and strengthen European cooperation.
We are proud that the Arkadia Foundation can represent Poland within this international community and actively contribute to the dialogue on a better future for people with disabilities.
